"As a first-generation, low-income student (FGLI), finding tailored college and scholarship application guidance seemed impossible because of the financial cost. I'm so grateful to have had Alexis as a resource during my own journey: his profound attentiveness to writing structure, word flow, and the overall message of a writing piece cannot be overstated. After my writing sessions with Alexis, I found myself utilizing his tips to create more flamboyant writing in subsequent applications. To me, Alexis stands out because of his genuine passion for helping other FGLI students strive to achieve their higher education dreams, no matter how far-fetched the goal may seem. I am so proud to share that thanks to Alexis's guidance, I will be attending Harvard College this fall and am a proud recipient of The Gates Scholarship."
